Laser dental treatment

In recent years, new technologies for dental care have been developed. The new technologies include laser dental treatments.

The laser replaces the traditional drills, thus saving patients pain and anxiety.

The treatment with the laser beam is accurate. The beam hits only the spot required for treatment, and does not hit the other tissues.

The treatments done with laser:

  • Treatment of tooth decay

  • Preservative treatments

  • Root and gum treatments

  • Treatment of gum disease and tartar removal

  • Teeth whitening

Benefits of using a laser

  • The vast majority of laser treatments do not require anesthesia.

  • The laser beam only damages the damaged tissue and does not damage the healthy tissues.

  • In the treatment of caries, the foundation damages all the caries and the area remains disinfected.

  • No pain.

  • There is no eating limit.

  • The treatment is shorter.

  • Due to the sterility of the laser, the treatment of the gums is more effective.

Treatment of gum disease and laser tartar removal

Gum disease is caused as a result of a layer of bacteria left on the food scraps and tartar in the mouth. These bacteria cause gingivitis, tooth decay, creating pockets between the tooth and gums and teeth, and even tooth loss.

Once gum disease begins it can usually not be cured, but the disease can be stopped and prevented from spreading.

Advantages of laser treatment:

  • Allows the removal of the bacterial layer perfectly.

  • Complete removal of tartar that has accumulated on the tooth.

  • There is no damage to healthy tissues.

Laser teeth whitening

Teeth whitening is done with a laser without damaging the enamel layer that coats and protects the teeth.

The treatment includes a treatment based on hydrogen peroxide that responds to the light wave of the laser beam.
The treatment is non-invasive.

Advantages of laser treatment:

  • fast

  • No side effects and pain

  • Without damaging the enamel

  • The treatment is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

  • Treatment is forbidden for those who are allergic to hydrogen peroxide.

  • Lack of tooth vitreous

  • Not recommended for sensitive teeth.

Laser caries treatment (hole in tooth)

Holes in teeth are formed from caries bacteria that accumulate on the tooth, rotting it and turning the tooth into a soft mastic. And so the hole was created.

To plug the hole, first clean the area and remove the bacterial plaque. In the past the removal of the bacterial plaque was done with a drill. Treatment with the drill caused pain due to the contact of the drill with the tooth, the vibrations it created and the heat generated as a result of the drilling work.

In recent years, the latest technology of laser dental care has developed.

Advantages of laser treatment:

  • Allows the removal of the bacterial layer perfectly (as opposed to the work of the drill that removes the damaged material in the caries but not the bacteria).

  • There is no damage to healthy tissues.

  • No pain and often no anesthesia or anesthesia.

  • Extremely fast treatment.

After the laser treatment, the hole is filled in the traditional way, after the hole is filled, it is usually necessary to polish the tooth using a traditional drill.
